Investors
The system taking the action cannot be the system authorizing it.
INVARIANCE provides independent execution authorization infrastructure for consequential AI: the control plane for safe AI action. Before an AI system makes a payment, changes a record or commits an organization to a third party, INVARIANCE decides whether that action is permitted. If the check cannot run, the action does not.
The missing layer
Guardrails operate within agents. INVARIANCE governs decisions.
AI agents are moving from answering questions to taking actions. Identity and access controls decide which systems an agent can reach. Guardrails and pre-action checks can screen a tool call, but they run in the agent’s own environment and depend on that environment invoking them.
INVARIANCE makes the decision at an independent boundary in front of the target system, outside the trust domain of the system taking the action. INVARIANCE is not an agent: it sits outside every agent it governs, so the system taking an action never authorizes it.
The model
INVARIANCE does not change the agent. It ships with it.
The agent’s model, prompts and code stay exactly as the provider built them. What changes is the route its consequential actions take: they pass through the INVARIANCE boundary before they reach the target system. Connecting that route is configuration and integration work, not a change to the agent.
The commercial model resembles Dolby’s. Dolby makes neither the television nor the film; its technology reaches the market inside other companies’ products. The comparison is commercial, not architectural: Dolby is built into the products that carry it, while INVARIANCE stays outside the agent it governs.
Agent providers
Ship INVARIANCE with their agents. Their customers get independently enforced authorization and a verifiable record of every consequential decision, without the provider building and running that infrastructure for each customer.
How it is paid for
Either as part of the agent’s licence, or directly, based on usage.
Users
For every action routed through the boundary, nothing executes unless the rules in force permit it, and if the check cannot run, the action does not. Every decision leaves a tamper-evident record.
Rulebook holders
A regulator, an insurer, an auditor, a CEO or director, and the organization itself can each apply their own rulebook to the same action and monitor it, independently of one another and of the agent provider. The action executes only if every rulebook that covers it permits it.
Agent providers are the first route to market. Each agent that ships with INVARIANCE puts the boundary in front of more users, insurers and regulators, and rulebooks written once can serve many providers. Once enough agents carry it, its absence becomes the question.
Dolby is a trademark of Dolby Laboratories. The comparison describes a business model. INVARIANCE has no connection with Dolby.
Where INVARIANCE stands
Built, demonstrable, and preparing for first deployments.
- Authorization engine
- A working demonstration of permit and deny decisions, with a tamper-evident record for each.
- Agent partners
- The Founding Agent Partner Program is open to finance, insurance, healthcare and veterinary AI agent providers, with supervised sandbox pilots.
- Reference environment
- VETPASS, a live clinical AI platform also founded by Damian Kissane, is the first environment INVARIANCE will be deployed into.
- Route to market
- INVARIANCE ships first alongside AI agents, then integrates into enterprise systems as middleware, governing actions from any source.
- Intellectual property
- Patent applications filed in the United States, held by INVARIANCE Limited, Ireland.

A 90-second demonstration
Rule Wars for investors shows the principle in 90 seconds, as the founder uses it to open meetings. Its referee is a browser simulation of the principle, not the INVARIANCE product.
